Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to the answers you give in the guided intake and pricing calculator on this website.

What we collect

Only non-identifying answers: return type, tax year, filing status, residency, states, counts, categorical yes / no / not sure choices about income, records, business and retail activity, and your optional refund-transfer or refund-advance preference. A bank-product preference is interest only, not an application, bank approval or permission to deduct fees. We do not ask for names, email, phone, addresses, dates of birth, ID numbers, employer or entity names, or dollar amounts, and the site accepts no uploads. When you submit, we also store your three confirmations, the final quote and pricing version, and a server-issued reference number and dates.

The filing-status questions are part of guided intake. Answers stay in this tab unless you explicitly opt in to include their categorical questions and answers, supported tax year, rules version and preliminary result in assessment and the confidential preparer handoff. Assessment sends included answers to Tax Service NJ for validation and recomputation. Submission saves them with your intake, including any mismatches requiring review; the resulting receipt is also kept in this tab’s session storage. You may edit or remove screening before submission; removing a draft does not delete an intake already submitted. Separate tax-residency screener answers are not included. Screening is not a residency election, filing authorization, offshore-disclosure consent or price instruction. Treat downloaded handoffs as confidential tax information, even without personal identifiers.

Non-identifying does not mean public or non-confidential. Your answers may still be tax return information, especially once linked to a Keystone client, and are not permission to disclose them overseas.

Calculator and assessment

Calculating a quote or assessing your intake sends your answers to our server for rules-based calculation. Those steps are not saved. Your answers are saved only when you complete the final confirmations and submit.

A fixed quote is a preparation fee valid for 30 days. It is not tax due, not a refund estimate, and no payment or filing happens until you separately engage us. We use no AI to prepare returns or price quotes.

How it is stored and used

Your submitted intake is stored in our database so a preparer can use it as a scope summary after you onboard. There is no public retrieval, and nothing is transferred to Keystone automatically. No emails or reminders are sent. This intake collects no contact details, so it cannot be used to contact you; keep your reference number and include it in your official Keystone intake.

Your browser keeps a copy of your non-identifying receipt in session storage so it survives a reload. It normally ends with the tab’s session, but some browsers restore closed sessions. On a shared device, use the receipt’s clear button when finished and securely remove any downloaded copies. Clearing the browser receipt does not delete your submitted intake from our server.

Hosting and application infrastructure can also process ordinary technical request and error logs needed to operate and protect the site. “Non-identifying intake” describes the form fields; it is not a promise that browsing creates no technical metadata.

Where personal details and documents go

Names, contact details, Social Security numbers, ITINs, tax documents and bank details are collected separately, only through Keystone, using secure instructions Tax Service NJ supplies outside this website. This site is not the Keystone client portal.

Offshore preparation and separate consent

Our shared-services preparation model includes qualified preparers located outside the United States. Any disclosure of tax return information to overseas preparers must comply with applicable law, including Section 7216 consent requirements and data-protection safeguards.

Where required, a separate, compliant written consent identifying the intended disclosure must be signed and dated before the information is disclosed. Additional restrictions apply to Social Security numbers. This privacy notice, the intake confirmations and acceptance of a price quote do not authorize offshore disclosure and do not replace that separate process, which takes place in official onboarding.

This website does not implement an offshore-disclosure consent or tax-document transfer process.

Third-party links

We use Keystone Tax Solutions software and secure onboarding; professional accountants through our Keystone preparation arrangement finalize returns. Tax Service NJ coordinates intake. Required engagements, disclosures and any applicable separate consent govern access and sharing; this notice alone is not permission to transfer information. Keystone has its own privacy practices. This site does not link to a client upload page or automatically send your information to Keystone. No endorsement is claimed.

Your choices

Submitting is optional. To ask about your submitted answers, raise it through your official Keystone onboarding with your reference number.
