• Government-issued photo ID
• Social Security numbers or ITINs for you, spouse and dependents
• Dates of birth for everyone on the return
• Last year's federal and New Jersey returns
• W-2 forms from every employer
• 1099 forms: interest, dividends, retirement, unemployment, other
• Form 1098 mortgage interest and property tax statements
• Records of estimated tax payments made
• Health insurance forms such as 1095-A, if you had marketplace coverage
• Bank details for direct deposit of a refund, shared only through a secure method
